OpTic have secured the third seed in Group B after winning both maps against Selfless (Cobblestone 16-1, Mirage 16-14).
In the last match of Group B's round robin, Selfless and OpTic started their series on Cobblestone. Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas kicked it off with a highlight reel, as he was dropped a tec-9 and made wonders with it by getting an ace which included a 1v3 clutch.
That seemed to have powered OpTic to a whole new level of dominance - after a scary anti-eco in the third round, they picked up round after round until it was 11-0 off of great play all around, especially from William "RUSH" Wierzba and the Spaniard.
One round due to doubles from Michael "MAiNLiNE" Jaber and Noah "Nifty" Francis wasn't quite enough to kickstart Selfless, OpTic switched over at 14-1 and finished it off two rounds afterwards when they clutched a 2v4 in the second pistol round.
OpTic secure third seed to play against NiP in semis
Shortly after Skyler "Relyks" Weaver put in a quad-kill in the first pistol round with Selfless starting as Terrorists, OpTic won the first gunround.
Nifty got a triple with an AWP to break OpTic's economy and helped his team get up to 6-1, before their opponents started to put rounds on the board. mixwell and Damian "daps" Steele shined in the next few defences, getting to only a one-round deficit at 6-5.
Relyks found his way to another quad-kill in a forcebuy with only a tec-9 in his hands, but OpTic still finished the half with a lead at 8-7. Selfless started the second half in a similar way to the first, as they picked up six out of the first seven rounds for a 13-9 lead.
The similarity followed as OpTic started coming back again and tied it up at 13-13. Selfless then retook the lead, but only for a short time as OpTic replied right back and took map two at 16-14.
